The pain that family members endure as they watch loved one’s lives spiral out of control in addiction is devastating. We try everything to “fix” the people we love and do what we think is the right thing to do. From paying off debts to cutting them out of our life completely and everything in between, we often take the person’s inability to get better personally. It almost feels like they continue to use drugs or alcohol just to hurt us at times. The very best intentions can sometimes do more harm than good by enabling or isolating our loved ones in addiction. It is impossible to stay objective and take ourselves out of the issue at hand to truly form an accurate picture of what is really going on. A skilled intervention facilitated by an addiction specialist can help the family understand their roles and the steps that they can take to work toward a better outcome. The emotional turmoil and volatile nature of these situations demand the presence of a dedicated professional to properly convey a unified, powerful message.
We are offering these services to families at no charge and without expectation of treatment at our residence.
What are the steps involved in placing an intervention?
The process will involve our skilled interventionist, Sean meeting with family and loved ones to gather information and their feedback. This step allows Sean to assess if the loved one is ready for an intervention. Once this assessment is made, boundaries are set, and a discussion is facilitated by our interventionist with the individual and their family to ensure that everyone is heard. After the intervention has occurred a follow up is conducted.
Please contact Sean, firstname.lastname@example.org or 902-220-2123 to start the process today.
